      Military time yes almost across the board but not federal LEO time. If NJ is one then I stand corrected but I think it is very rare for a local agency to give you credit for federal LE time. I am a federal LEO and I wish they would because I would love to leave southern california and my agency to go to a local PD for lots of reasons. But the main thing holding me back is I will not start over again in a pension system. I've got to many years invested in the federal system to leave at my age.

        VA will accept prior federal full-time service as well. Check the Virginia Retirement System (VRS) website for more details.
