i meant is everyone waiting to take poly or are there folks with ALL done. I have everything done at this point besides poly, meaning all forms turned in, done with medical, peed in a cup, released e-QIP, and returned signature forms.

      • I had a med issue when I processed last year. Broken bone. Got the call from HR and had to see a specialist to be cleared. Got cleared and faxed doctors report back to HR. A week later I received the "medically cleared" email.

It's just a bump in the road. I'm sure you'll be fine.

            • I finished Poly last week. I am just waiting to hear on medical. I had LASIK and with other agencies they sent me back a form saying I had to go to optometrist or opthalmologist and get it checked out to be cleared. I guess to make sure my eyes don't explode.
Also on the medical I wasn't scoring high enough on the PFT (pulmonary function test). I kept blowing into the machine but I wasn't doing right. I just went to my doctor and took a full PFT and passed. I figure if they ask for more info on it I will be one step ahead.

that stupid PFT sucked....my office had this small one that looked like a label maker....ive normally done them with the bigger boxes with the ball that you have to keep at a certain level...something about the visual made it easier to do it properly than slow beeps

                • So Cardiologist confirmed my First Degree AV block. He said its nothing and mentioned the whole athlete thing after I explained to him my exercise regimen. He is going to write a nice letter that will accompany my packet to the med evaluator. I also go my old ekg from when I processed for HSI last year, same results, and they saw fit to medically clear me. So hopefully nothing more comes from this.

Cool deal man, I wouldn't stress. The RMO will take all of this information into account. Plus you've already pass the ATF PPT.

                    • Anyone have any details on Schedule B hiring for ATF? Just got an email telling me to apply here in a few days, upload my documents, and put in a identifier number given in the email. I went through the whole 2012 process, never heard back, and hadn't heard anything going from this most recent movement. My local office called and asked what my status was a couple times, but other than that...nothing.

                        • Apparently ATF/OPM tried sending my this email today. HR just called me and said my email address came back as rejected. They had the wrong address. Gave her the right one and she said to expect an email.....

A quick google search tells me this - "A Direct-Hire Authority (DHA) enables an agency to hire, after public notice is given, any qualified applicant without regard to 5 U.S.C. 3309-3318, 5 CFR part 211, or 5 CFR part 337, subpart A. A DHA expedites hiring by eliminating competitive rating and ranking, veterans' preference, and "rule of three" procedures."
