It appears the old thread has been deleted. Please keep this thread thriving with news and up to date topics if IEA only. Good luck

Just an update, I guess my BI is with the EOD Unit to set up my EOD date. It can take anywhere from 5-8 days before I will hear anything I was told. Now my question is I haven't had my oral board, however, it seems they're going to issue me a EOD date before they set up my Oral Board date. Does this sound normal?

Also, when they give you the "call" does anyone know how many locations you have to choose from? I was told the list changes day to day and it's sort of luck of the draw. It would be awesome if they gave you several field offices to choose from, however, for me anyway--the job comes first.

The old one had a lot of good information. Anyone have a status update for the last 2 announcements.

This has to be the slowest process I've ever been involved with, I keep forgetting I'm in the process with them until I see these threads.

Agreed. Us non vets haven't heard anything yet.

My BI has cleared EOD and was sent to HR for an EOD date. Non-veterans will be contacted in 3-4 weeks I am assuming--I just know there is 8000+ of you who applied so it's going to take awhile.

I think you've got a good amount of vets in that 8000 group. Disabled or regular. I know I'm one of them. Judging by that last thread VRA was more like VIP if you knew about it lol.

Just because those VETs are going through the process fast doesn't mean they will get hired. By the way I'm glad to see no negativity about this job in this forum as of now. Reading and hearing what i heard about this job to me looks to be a great job. You have to start somewhere, if i get in I plan to go into deportation after a year or so... They say the money is good and great benefits, can't complain about that...

Very true, should have rephrased that. Well there is roughly 300 VRA applicants that they are going through now. Also, was told to expect a call for my final step, my oral board in the next few weeks.

Also, I received a TSO for the LA field office.

Just got an email response from HR When i asked when the Oral boards are going to be scheduled "We are a little back logged. The specialist handling the oral board schedule asked us to be patient"

                          HUrry up and wait guys!

                            Hello all,
I am currently at FLETC for the IEA course. I will do my best to answer any questions you have. For starters, we were told that there was going to be a new class starting in January, but was later told that it might not be (next class) until June. Not sure how accurate this is, just passing on what we've been told. I know that may not be the best of news, but I'll see if I can get clarification. If you feel more comfortable PM'ing me, please do so. Good things are happening with the IEA position and I'm very excited for the future of ERO! I personally applied in May '09, so needless to say, I've done a fair amount of waiting as well, but if this is really what you want, be as patient as humanly possible. I know that's easier said than done, but your time will come.

It's good to see that they are staying consistent at FLEE-TEC. They gave us the same speech in 07, and we're still waiting for the upgrade... It is a good position, depending on your field office it could be a great position.
