Federal police jobs that are nationally accredited?

I realize that sounds redundant, but I am looking at federal police jobs and while doing some brief research, some fed agencies (such as the Pentagon Police) are called "civilian agencies" and I wasn't sure what that meant.

Can anyone explain this to me? Thank you.

Department of Defense!!! It means that PPD are not in the military..

That is because the police department is a civilian police force, no active duty military police members. D.O.D police are the same, civilian police on military installations working with military police.
