Are you sure he said November 2023? Because others and I are confirmed for an October 2023 class.

November is when your UPTP class will start. October is when you guys will come in for you two week FPS Orientation at Glynco

Any Federal Holiday that's on a Monday they will give you the three day weekend. Don't know what the deal for your class for Thanksgiving but for mine since we will graduate UPTP on November 21st we'll have 22nd to 26th off. Christmas they are giving us off Dec 23rd to 26th then go back to classes for Dec 27th to 29th then give us off New Years weekend but back to Academy on January1st or 2nd.

Does anyone who is currently at FLETC know what the holiday schedule will be like? Just trying to plan family visits and was wondering what the days off will look like during that time. Thanks in advance!

Border Patrol is not a stand alone agency and is actually a component of Customs and Border Protection (CBP).

I had a previous background investigation and clearance which FPS used. Sped up the process for me.

I had a top secret from another agency and FPS used that. Greatly expedited my hiring process.

Question does anyone know since i'm a Federal Police Officer for a different three letter agency. Will my background transfer over also will my medical and MMPI transfer as well? I know I'll have to go to FLETC again. will this help in the hiring process for it to speed up?

No it will not. I have worked for 3 different agencies and none transfer. In fact out of all my agencies FPS is the most invasive even when I currently have a higher clearance then they giving me.

Yea I am scheduled to go to San Fran after the academy. But we will see if I get lucky and get vegas. Supposedly, the one spot is being held by a guy who is supposed to show up to the academy sep 6th. If he doesn’t that opens up vegas. Either way, I’m set for SF.

My buddy told me that theirs nobody getting Las Vegas as a spot … region 9 has Utah Denver and San Fran to fill but San Fran is hurting the most. You might get San Fran but might be placed in San Jose they only have one person there
