Is there a physical fitness test for FPS? Is it just the PEB at FLETC? Is there a pas/fail cutoff, or is it like other trainings where they just want participation?

Talking to other Inspectors, FPS administers the FLETC PEB and you have to score in the 25th percentile on Bench, Agility, and 1.5 mile run.

Just received an email deeming me “qualified” to fill a vacant position. They will send my packet up to the locations/regions that i have requested and once selected they will send me a TOL. Hopefully now the process speeds up a bit.

No, just going off OPM’s rules. National Guard only qualify if they had X amount of time active duty.

If you want to do actual LE stick with the NPS and go to a high volume park and try and get FTO so you can get that GS11 pay as a non supervisor. If you want to be a security guard and get paid more go to FPS.

Just recieved My TO today, region 9. Starting me as a gs-9, but also in the running with US Fish and Wildlife as Land Management Law Enforcement Officer. FPS GS 1801 vs USFW GL 1801 what do you guys think?

I would avoid FPS. Not traditional law enforcement, very few arrests and the retirement/pay isn’t great. If you’re just looking for a “job” where you look the part of a cop, then this would be ok.
