Yeah...I just got an e-mail on it. They have full carry 24/7 now. I can't link the article/memo. But here it is:

DHS Secretary Grants Federal Protective Service Officers Full Carry Authority

On Tuesday, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Janet Napolitano granted Federal Protective Service (FPS) law enforcement officers full firearm carry authority. Previously, FPS officers were limited to only carrying firearms while on duty and many had to check in their weapons before heading off-site.
The issue was first brought up in a DHS Federal Law Enforcement Advisory Board meeting on July 22, 2009. The advisory board includes representatives from each of the DHS components, as well as a representative from the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association (FLEOA), the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC), the National Treasury Employees Union (NTEU) and National Border Patrol Council (NBPC). The board meets biannually to advise the DHS secretary on any issues that affect the law enforcement community.

During the first meeting of the advisory board, Chuck Marino, law enforcement advisor to the DHS secretary, was informed of this issue. Eventually the Board's recommendation was sent to Secretary Napolitano and she made the decision, which was announced on Tuesday.

FLEOA President, Jon Adler, was one of the supporters of the decision. "Thanks to the strong leadership of Secretary Napolitano, FPS law enforcement officers will be prepared to better defend and protect the American citizenry," he said.

FPS law enforcement officers will now have to confirm that they understand the carry policy and follow the same protocols as other DHS law enforcement officers.

These arent entry level positions per se, you must have been a 12 for a year within govt service to qualify I believe.
