Last I heard from USPS was around January 2019 stating I was still in the process and to notify them of any contact info changes. Took the Business Writing Test back in September 2017 and haven't heard anything since expect for the occasional email stating that I'm still in the process and to update my contact info with them if anything changes.

No problem. It’s nice to see a timeline so everyone knows what they’re in for. And I’m hoping my AC is coming soon too!

      • Looking at the list mtn hkr put together I can see almost everyone applied back a couple of years ago... Anyone here that applied in February of this year during the public app period? That's when I applied. I'm waiting to hear from them about my appointment after passing the ecap...

FWIW, my IE came almost a year after I applied. And nothing since.

I’ll echo what’s been posted on here many times: forget you applied. I know that’s easier said than done, but unfortunately this process follows no rhyme or reason.

Yeah it’s a bunch of us from March and June of 2017 but you all are part of the new wave so you’ll be able to share your experiences and hopefully bring life back to this thread.

As information, I applied in March ‘17, received fingerprint cards in May, received e-QIP in July and IE in September. Everyone’s experience/timeline is different so it’s hard to mirror it. Be on the lookout for those fingerprint cards since that is the next step if you haven't already received them.

My timeline is the same as yours. I wonder what the average wait time between the IE and the AC are.

It took me a year and 3 months to get the AC after completing the IE

      • There are vast discrepancies in timelines. I applied 3/17, IE 6/17, AC 8/17.

        • Yeah I can see that there are not really any similarities in the process for many of us. I'll bet it has to do with the needs of the service within the different areas of the country.

I have tried to forget about applying, as many of us have, but I do like to keep up with this thread. I was just curious how many people had applied in 2019.... You 2017 OGs are all over this thread, figured I'd show the 2019 youngsters some love! Looks like we'll be here for a while anyway! Haha

Both agencies should work a case like this. Not always the case though.

it is an extremely long ride for most folks.. .just look at my timeline thus far:
              emsoto: 06/14 applicant, 12/14 IE, 3/15 AC/poly/MI, pool

Best advice is forget you applied and be pleasantly surprised when there is movement.

I am approaching a year in the pool and at times firmly believe "maybe they lost my name"....Kuddos after four years! Hopefully this August class brings about the good news.

            • For you all that passed the MI and/or have class dates, when did your BI start? How long after the MI? Did an investigator just call you and that's how you knew it started?

The interviews start after you have a class date, but the investigation takes place well before the offer. The investigator calls to set up the interview.

Yeah, my SF-86 was luckily pretty much filled out with current info; I only needed a few updates and then you have to reverify a bunch of stuff. I’ve also gotten notice that my birth certificate is on its way back to me along with fingerprint cards for me to complete and send back to them.

            • Also a January 2019, applicant but I have not received anything. I am an 1811 transfer, which I thought would result in faster recruitment. So far nothing.
