I tallked to the Marshals office yesterday and this is what they told me. First, they did their hiring for the year and they dont know when they will hire again. So then I asked if DEO was a good way to go to get in and he said prior to them hiring most recently, that where they got there agents from. He said when we just need ones and twos we pull from there. My question is this, I have a degree and four years of military service, will this make me more appealing as a canidate for a DEO and possible oppurtunity to become a DUSM? Anything would be helpful, thanks.

1. Why did you post this in here? 2. Yes, there are formers DEO's scattered through the USMS but they in no way compare to the number of Deputies from other hiring sources such as FCIP, past public exams, shooting star, or co-op.

I was told the same thing about the resume. I actually did both and was called to see if I was still interested in employment. They said it was from the resume and not the USAJOBS announcement.
