  • ICE Detention and Removal Asst.

These are open in a few areas now. Any idea if these are armed enforcement positions or admin. only type jobs?

DRA is a non-law enforcement position; no gun, no badge.
      sigpicTwo is one,
      one is none.

The wife was interested in this job. In the announcement, I noticed they wanted experience dealing with the LE databases. Anybody know if it is a deal killer if she don't have that experience? For a GS-5-7 position it seems to be a very specialized requirement. She applied either way, but I was just wondering.
But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object, evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new guards for their future security.

For the intelectually challenged: If the government screws the people enough, it is the right and responsibility of the people to revolt and form a new government.

It's not a deal breaker. I've seen people with nill LE clerical experience land the job. It's an entry level ICE clerical position. All that's required is general knowledge/experience of general office type duties, basic computer knowledge and a positive attitude.

That's what I figured. Besides none the LE databases are that difficult to learn and use. Some of the immigration ones can be a finicky, but still not that difficult.
