To apply for the Deputy U.S. Marshal (DUSM) position for Region 5 (see map), applicant must register in
advance to attend an information session in New Orleans, LA; or Dallas, TX; or Little Rock, AR. The
information sessions are held during the week of October 19th, 2009. Upon registration, applicant will be
provided with the date, time, and address for an information session. Registration is limited for this
recruiting effort. Once the limit is reached, registration will be closed. Please register for ONLY
ONE session, following the guidelines described below. You will be disqualified if you register for more
than one location.
You must e-mail ONLY ONE of the following e-mail addresses to register for an information session.
• New Orleans: To register, please e-mail FCIP.NewOrleans@usdoj.gov starting at 9:00 AM (CDT) on
10/07/09. Registration will be closed once the limit is reached.
• Dallas: To register, please e-mail FCIP.Dallas@usdoj.gov starting at 9:00 AM (CDT) on 10/07/09. Registration will
be closed once the limit is reached.
• Little Rock: To register, please e-mail FCIP.LittleRock@usdoj.gov starting at 9:00 AM (CDT) on 10/07/09.
Registration will be closed once the limit is reached.
Required information to submit your e-mail registration includes: (Please include all information in the body of the e-mail

(4) Do you have three years or more of qualifying work experience? If yes, please describe.
Examples: Sworn Law Enforcement officer; work involving the correctional treatment and supervision of criminal
offenders in correctional institutions; classroom teaching, counseling or instruction; sales-other than taking and filling
orders as in over-the -counter sales; interviewing experience in a public or private service agency which involved
making determinations on individuals requests for services or benefits, and explaining, interpreting, and applying rules,
regulations and procedures; work involving contacts with the public for the purpose of gathering information, such as
credit rating investor, claims, adjuster, journalist, etc.
(5) Do you have military experience? If yes, were you honorably discharged?
(6) Have you ever been convicted of a misdemeanor, or felony crime of domestic violence, or a felony of any kind?
Required documents to attend an information session include: Two forms of identification (one with photo); a professional
resume with detailed job descriptions or an Optional Form (OF) 612; a copy of college transcripts (if applicable); SF-50
(if current Federal employee); DD-214 (if applicable); veterans preference letter (if applicable); and a copy or best
knowledge of your driving record for the last seven years. If you are missing any of the required forms, you may not be
admitted to the information session or your application will not be considered.
