NC gigs....
NCSHP if you want a take home car right off the bat, or maybe Wake County Sheriff's Dept. Raleigh PD, but it takes a few years to get a ride, and you have to live in the city. Check out Raleigh, Cary, Apex, Wake Forest, Chapel Hill.
Just a heads up; no true unions here, no collective bargaining and it's a right to work state....
I would think Myrtle Beach PD in SC would be fun, during the summer anyways...

If you enjoy being proactive and working, North Charleston PD is a great agency. They are always hiring certified officers. In SC you will have to complete a 3 week legals section at the academy, or in the training division of some departments.
Greenville County is also a respected agency. I've also heard good things about Rock Hill PD.
If you just want to look good in a uniform and have to kiss people's butts, apply with Mt Pleasant or Charleston City. CPD has some opportunities, but they are hard to get.
I don't think that Charleston County is hiring. They have terrible budget issues and not so hot morale. Lots of good ole boy action in the SO's of SC.
