  • 2 questions?

    1. During an oral board review how detailed should you go into when the classic, "tell us about you background and life experience?" question comes up? What are some things they are looking for in a response?

    2. Is there a better way of explaining not so great grades on your college transcript than just immaturity at the time and so on?

    Thanks!

#2: Accepting responsability for your actions is something they look for. Admitting immaturity looks a lot better than "The dog ate my homework".

#1: It depends on the board. Just figure out what you want them to know. Strong points, and mistakes you have learned from.

    Best of luck to you.

      Take a look at http://www.post.ca.gov/selection/S&E...wguide-web.pdf

Its a long read, but it explains what many oral panels are looking for in their questions and how they are supposed to evaluate you.
