Good afternoon everyone! I’m hoping for the the March academy, but does anyone have any insight into the Jan academy? I’m starting to think it’s filled. Usually calls for academies that begin in the new year go out by now. Look forward to everyone’s thoughts.

Has anyone that applied to this recent announcement received any correspondence in regard to interview invitations? All that I received was an email (over a month ago) stating that there’s still technical issues regarding other applicants submitting documentation.

Just waiting to complete the second portion of the medical exam this coming Tuesday and then my packet should be set to go to the final hiring board!

Drug screening results came back today. My hiring packet is now complete and being sent up to HR. Now I’m just waiting to be placed in the hiring pool and given a call I suppose!Comment

Does anyone have details on what to expect for the Medical Exam? I don't have concerns about getting sign-offs from physicians about past treatment or conditions that could affect job performance if a follow-up is needed--I just know I have to drive a few hours to get there, so I want to be sure I have everything I need and am prepared for that day's events. The only info I received so far was that I have to fast for 12 hours in advance, so I know that means bloodwork.
I've heard it's across the board with different agencies, so I hate making assumptions. There's a big difference between a physician checking my mobility/use of joints and having to run on a treadmill (would need to bring shoes).
I'd ask my POC, but he's OOO this week. There are some medical posts out there in this sub, but they're pre-COVID and I know the hiring process is completely different today than it was just a few years ago. Any advice is appreciated until I can get things squared away with my POC!Comment

Was Pendleton in your top 5? I know the office selection likely varies by the day, but I'm trying to gauge what I may get offered haha -
throwaway1811 Pendleton was like my 9th out of the 10 options… I did not want to go West Coast. However, I understood after speaking with current NCIS 1811s, that West Coast, Great Lakes or Hawaii were the most likely choices I was going to be given. It’s not ideal, but it starts my federal clock and I’ll get a lot of experience working cases, so we’re going to do it for a couple of years and then move on! -
