Apparently HQ is pushing for people with cyber, Intel, fraud, and language backgrounds. So, you won’t get dropped if you don’t fit into those categories, however people with those backgrounds may be offered a position before you.

Contacted yesterday by my investigator for suitability BI. I already hold a TS/SCI so hopefully that speeds things up a bit.

So mine as I mentioned reached out by email and asked basically for an old Drivers license #. Said he was from out of state, and was completing part of my BI. Apparently mine has obviously started.. but I haven't received any phone calls regarding references or touching base from anyone.Last edited by Jagger3939; 12-19-2019, 12:54 PM.

I definitely believe this agent can start my BI without what I provided. It's just a bit more info for him to interview others. Does a suitability BI mean they took my clearance already or will DCSA do their own investigation for my clearance?
-
My BI should be fairly easy. Five years of my life is on paper with the military and the rest of it is localized to one area pretty much. Holding my clearance already I imagine should help it a bit.

I had received a call from my BI that was on annual leave and was told to complete by the end of this year. I was told everything went well. I'm just waiting on the next step. It can move fast. I moved to my area about 6 months ago. He contacted and met with references in two days

Does the BI have to contact you, or will only contact if they need additional information? I haven't heard anything from a BI yet, but I was contacted on Monday to fill out my medical paperwork and be prepared to receive the urine/blood drug test in the next week or 2.

Anyone have a rough estimate how long Medical should be after poly? Poly was completed early December and investigator contacted me a few weeks ago for BI but haven't heard anything regarding Medical. I'm sure the Holiday's don't help though.

For me it was 2 1/2 weeks, but I’m sure with the holidays it’s slow. As long as your in the BI process, you should be fine

Was it just a normal medical exam? I've done one for USSS so I envision it's similar. I am a service connected vet and noticed they want my letter. Do I need to bring anything else or just the letter?
-
So I think I found my holdup for medical ha. Apparently I've had a urinalysis kit waiting for me since early December but the information was sent to an incorrect email address so I never received it. I can't imagine this will cause me any problems though.

They rectified it once they realized what happened. Did the urinalysis today and everything seems all good. I was in contact with my investigator while this was happening so they know I'm still interested and in the process. Just a fat finger from someone sending out the notification for my test. Unfortunately it may have just set me back a few weeks.

aspiring_1811 who and how did you contact about not receiving your drug test?? I just had medical yesterday, but I've still not received any information about getting the drug test - other than an email about a month ago to expect an email about in a few weeks. I'm assuming nothing is held up with it, since I just did medical, but I still don't really have a contact person to call or email when I have a question.

Wojo8 I just received an email telling me where to go do the test. It was at a local urgent care near me.
