The University of Connecticut Police Department, an internationally accredited agency, is actively seeking applicants for six positions of Police Officer at the Storrs Campus. Applicants must be willing to work in a fast paced, diverse and growing community. UConn Police Officers provide a wide range of police services along with investigation of criminal incidents, preparation of arrest and search warrant affidavits, enforcement of motor vehicle and criminal laws, management of large crowds and public demonstrations. Officers may patrol in cruisers, motorcycles or bicycles. Applicants must be willing to work a challenging schedule that may include University events, NCAA athletic events, dignitary visits, etc. Applicants must possess an active Protective Services Trainee exam score, or be a certified police officer in the State of Connecticut.
