Residential/Non-residential Academy

Hello, I’m in the US Air Force as military police and about to get out after 4 years, I’m looking to move to the north east, New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont. I wanted to know if all require a residential academy, or if any require non-residential one or any that takes military police training some of the way. I would like to work for a sheriff’s or small city/town department.
