Under the direction of the Space and Naval Warfare (SPAWAR) System Center Charleston, SC, BAE Systems is conducting a focus group on In-Car Camera and Stabilized Binocular technologies for the Department of Homeland Security's System Assessment and Validation for Emergency Responders (SAVER) program. We are attempting to identify subject matter experts within your organization who have experience with either or both technologies.
It is important to note that we do not target or endorse any specific brand and we are not attempting to sell anything to you or your organization. Our goal is to collect information through focus groups comprised of knowledgeable personnel from a variety of organizations throughout the emergency response community. This information will be used to conduct effective assessments of existing technologies. The information resulting from the assessments will be made available to law enforcement and emergency responder agencies through the Department of Homeland Security. The stabilized binocular focus group will be conducted from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on the 29th and 30th of April. The in-car camera focus group will be conducted from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on the 1st and 2nd of May. Participants are asked to travel the day prior to commencement of their focus group and can make arrangements to depart following completion. Related travel and lodging expenses will be reimbursed after completion of the focus group in accordance with government per diem guidelines. A specific location will be established after the selection of focus group participants has been completed to ensure a central location based upon the selected participants. If you are interested in participating or if you have an individual or individuals in your organization with expertise on the installation, maintenance or operation of In-Car Cameras or the use of Stabilized Binoculars, please contact us and let us know.
